01Terminal 1 and Terminal 2
The official FAQ says the airport station is connected to the 2nd floor of Terminal 1, a few minutes’ walk across a passageway.
Terminal 2 has no train station. A free shuttle bus runs between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2; the official page gives the ride as 7–9 minutes from AEROPLAZA.
Confirm your terminal for the exact flight. Do not choose by airline type alone.
02Trains: JR and Nankai
Two railways use Kansai Airport Station: JR West and Nankai. They have separate ticket gates.
Nankai runs the Rapi:t limited express and the Airport Express towards Namba. JR runs the Haruka limited express and Kansai Airport Rapid Service towards Osaka, Kyoto and other areas.
The official access page lists indicative times, for example about 34 to 43 minutes to Namba depending on the Nankai service. Check fares and the current timetable with the operators.
03Buses, taxis and other options
Bus stops are outside the first floor of Terminal 1 and at Terminal 2. Check which stop serves your destination.
Choose a bus when it stops close to your hotel or when you have heavy luggage; choose a train when you want a fixed journey time.
04Before you fly
Allow time for the walk from the station to the check-in hall, and for the shuttle if you depart from Terminal 2.
Check baggage storage, lockers and lounges on the official site, noting before and after security.
